Hi Reg and Jason, sorry to take so long to give you some questions. I've been super busy (journalism/reporting work + campaign volunteering + classes + writing my own novel) and haven't had much time to stop by the thread. 1. Does the experience with seeing the reincarnated Richard affect Jason's conscience? Aside from when he tried to kill himself and was stopped, is there anything that he actually would not dare to even begin doing because he'd be ashamed of what Richard would think? 2. What kind of relationship did Jason have with Richard when he was alive? 3. What if someone else important to him -- his parents, Christina, etc -- died and was reincarnated same way Richard was? What type of role would that person's ghost play that's different from the role they'd play in his life while currently alive? 4. Pretend for the sake of a hypothetical game that Jason and his father are on an elevator ride in a tall building, and there's a tense atmosphere due to the aftermath of their latest fight, or perhaps a new one is on the surface. The elevator stops, and Jason and his dad stay on, but Wayne (pretend they're in the same place lol) gets on and possibly Christina too. The 3 or 4 of them continue their ride upward, but then the elevator gets stuck. They call the operator number on the elevator, and are told that help will be there, but it'll take a couple hours. None of them had anything crucial that morning: the only issue is that they're all crammed in an elevator for a couple hours. How do things play out?
Sorry, I hate when people mess up my names.(Most of the time I include pronunciation guides example-Aritae(Air-e-tie)) I guess I glanced at it and it just registered as I posted. I hate human cities too, and I am one.
Questions for Jason: It seems like you're going through a major trial in your life. Is this because of something specific such as a disease or a specific event? Do you feel like what ever the cause of this is, that it is making you a stronger person? Do you feel you have trouble with personal relationships as a result? Your family doesn't seem very supportive to you, is there someone specific, a non family member that you confide in? Do you care deeply for this person? Is this person a possible love interest? What makes your story worth telling? Is it the relationships you have with people or the central events in this part of your life?
The reincarnation has affected Jason’s coincidence when he moved to California to stay with his mother, and went outside. As Jason saw Richard at the end of the sidewalk, Jason yelled his name trying to get his attention. The people stared at him as if he was crazy (only Jason can see Richard and not anyone else). They stared at the same direction he was staring at. They started calling him names because he was “talking to himself.” Jason became embarrassed when he tried to convince the people that he is standing at the end of the street. He would be ashamed of what Richard may think of him in a way. Although Jason is not fully aware that Richard is dead, he fears that Richard may think that he is discombobulated. Therefore, Jason would not dare to touch nor talk to him because of the fact that Jason has been humiliated. The love brothers were very close. When the two was a child, and when Kelly and Tom were together, Richard always defended Jason whenever someone picked on him until the parents separated from each other. As the years go by, Jason is all alone, except his seemingly worthless father. The people in California now head the full freedom to hurt Jason without Richard defending for him. You have gave me a title for this movie, Mallory; “The Love Brothers.” Thanks for asking me this question. I might expand this a little bit whenever I finish structuring out the movie. The lifestyles among Christina, Maria, and Wayne’s life would be different than Jason’s lifestyles if everyone’s heirs were reincarnated. Christina’s life would have little affect if she had a guardian angel, because she only serves her business to her customers (The Friends’ Club) and offer people to build a healthy relationships among each other. However, if she did have a ghost, she would become the central character of the story, as her godly parents would help the other characters to end condemnation between Jason, Maria and Wayne. If Wayne were brothers (if he had one) with someone, he would no longer become the antagonist of the story, unless his family’s spirit was from the devil and not God. It would be a fighting battle between Richard and Wayne’s brother. Ha-ha, this is a tough question. If Wayne, Maria, and Jason were trapped in an elevator for a while, Maria would fear that Wayne would hurt her because of his anger problem. Maria would probably wet herself and bang on the door (even though Wayne has never touched her). Christina would fear that she would lose her business at the Friends’ Club because she is the only manager. Jason would feel even more depressed because he has been living in condemnation anyway, and Tom would not just care. He’s fearless but only cares for himself, which makes him a weak character. Things would create havoc since everyone is so concerned about themselves rather than the current problem. To make matters worse, Wayne might beat Jason senseless because he sees him standing next to Maria, Wayne’s girlfriend.
I'm not sure I understand how Jason's humiliation would keep him from talking or trying to go after his brother especially if they were so close and had lived so far away from one another for several years. I'm also a little foggy on why all of these people are picking on Jason...
As I explained before, the people in California knows Jason well, (about 4 years now that he lives in California) and since they know that he is very timid, the people feel that they can take advantage of him. Occassionally they would rob him of his money. Most of these people turns out to be his friends until they turned their backs away from him. The plot point on when he moves to Kentucky, Maria and Wayne coincidentaly moved down to Kentucky too. The people in Kentucky originally don't bother him as much as Jason was bothered in California. The reaon why Wayne puts him in so much pain is because one, he has an anger problem, and two, he suspect that Jason is trying to "steal" his girlfriend Maria.
Im back with another character Tydis- He is a socially awkward 17 year old boy, with no memories of his past and, yet a fear and hatred of being touched by women. This is because in the world he was in before being mysteriously transferred to Roake (the world where my story takes place now)- where he grew up and it's everybody for themselves and the weak get beaten, raped, eaten, whatever- he experienced a terrible childhood trauma. He is cold, a smartass, and unapproachable on the outside. However, on the inside he is very afraid and even a bit insecure. He was sent to jail after being accused of mass-murdering innocents and does not deny it due to his confidence that they would not be able to keep him confined for more than a year- if that. Tydis is not human. He is a ferinai- a powerful species of warriors derrived from both wolves and dragons, and sometimes exhibits this background by growling at those that threaten him. When he does growl, it is unintentional (he does not remember his actual species but that he is not human) and often embarasses him. Overall, Tydis can be a jerk with no social skills who hates crowded rooms and tries his best to stay away from others- despite the fact that he attends a reform school where the main lesson is in manners and ethnics. But he is determined not to cooperate with " a bunch of fools", as he calls them. Hope that's enough information. I have his background, motivations and fears worked out..but im having trouble with his method of speaking- mainly how he interacts with others when he does actually have to interact with others. Right now he's kind of the typical badass
1. Is Tydis open to any type of romantic interaction? Is there any type of personality or trait set that someone could have that would attract Tydis to her (or him)? If so, which traits? 2. If yes to last question, how would Tydis react to this person wanting to carress/kiss/etc? If no to last question, is Tyidis ok with similar interaction with other loves ones? I.e. family/friend hugs? Or is all phsyical interaction off limits? 3. What if, in order to get out of prison, he had to strike up a friendly relationship with the warden/head guard to get on his good side? Would he be able to do it, and if so, how? What kind of mistakes might he make in his attempts, and how would he learn from it?
Because of his lack of words, i will fill in with a "translation" after he provides an answer (or lack there of) 1. Romance is nothing but a mushy mess of feelings. I do not participate in any of it whatsoever, and will not entertain you with any of my preferences, as that would provide a weakness. And just so we're clear, don't think you can guess. (translation: Tydis can't see past the emotional high school drama enough to foster any real relationships. To him, romantic interactions cause nothing but trouble. ESPECIALLY when fighting's involved. Also, he doesn't really have any set preference besides the fact that she can't be extremely physical with him, or annoying. Other than that, he would be pretty much open to experimentation) 2.When and to what did i answer yes to, exactly? And I do not wish to have physical contact AT ALL. I do not want to go into detail on my decision. 3. Why would i make a friendly relationship with someone who's making my life a living hell? (translation: he's too prideful to try and get on anybody's good side. If, by some grand intervention, he did attempt- he would do it all wrong and say something to either offend or threaten the guard. He wouldn't exactly learn from it so much as to prove his point that taking action is better than talking it out)
Pcaara, we're awaiting a visit from Ayame and Lia and those girls/guys. (saw your other thread) they are welcome when they're able to drop by!
Tydis... 1. How does being in a High school/reform school situation compare to the time that you spent in jail? 2. Do you find the people in this school are a good deal similar to those in the jail setting you were in or is it a whole different kettle of fish for you? 3. Does your natures (although your not sure what you are) allow you to feel more comfortable around animals or other species rather than humans? 4. Could you possibly ever trust any creature?
New Character for me... Brad Wilcox is a 26 year old average guy. He has no remarkable abilities although he is an experienced ranch hand. He has no family, but considers his bosses daughter as his only family. In the process of driving a herd of cattle back to the ranch Brad and three other crew members witness a drug deal gone bad near the Texas/Mexico border. Because of what they saw events are set in motion that lead to the abduction of Amelia (his bosses daughter). Brad feels he must go after her given that conventional law efforts are failing.
- Brad learns that his boss was responsible for his own daugher's kidnapping. How does Brad react to learning this? - What would Brad do if Amelia developed Stockholm's Syndrome for one of her captors, or if the whole thing was staged and she was romantically involved with one of them the whole time? - What if Amelia developed a strong love interest in Brad?
Okay, I'm going to post one of my numerous characters, since I have so many that need to be fleshed out...but I'll use this one first, since he's one of the most important. Name: Black-Eye'd Grey Age: 48 Occupation: Outlaw Relation to Story: He is the secondary antagonist, playing as a hired gun for the main antagonist. He is merciless, ruthless and uncaring. As well as being the almost perfect gun-slinger, never missing a shot, being a fast-reloader and never getting shot. His only fear would be of rattlesnakes, due to a small incident when he was younger, which led to the creation of his "outlaw name". He is only challenged at one point, by the main protagonist and Grey sees no challenge in it what-so-ever and see's the protagonist as another target.
I became angry with the whole situation because it seemed the "Authorities" weren't doing everything they could, or should. Knowing that Jake did this to clear his debts makes the situation that much worse. I trusted this man with my life, and well being. I would probably deck him for being an ass, quit and then go after Amelia anyway. You just don't leave family behind. I wouldn't have any way of knowing that she had, so I would still be stuck on a stupid goose chase. IF she did turn out to be involved i would be deeply hurt. There are few people I rely on because lets face it .. you can't trust people. It would devastate me if it turned out she had orchestrated this whole thing. I suppose though it is possible.. She is very smart. *starts to obsess over the details to make sense of it all* *laughs* Amelia would rather shoot me than kiss me. In the off chance I'm wrong, *shrugs* well nah, I ain't wrong. (Big thanks Mallory... I hadn't even considered the father might be in on it!)
I'm Concerned that this character seems too perfect. No human is completely so... I think he needs some flaws... IF Grey got into a knife fight, and couldn't under any circumstances use his guns what would happen? Does he have any physical scars? If so how did he get them? Does he have some sort of mental instability? If angered say in a bar fight how would he react?
If Grey got into a knife fight, and couldn't use his guns, what would happen? Well, if I had to use a knife I'd be able to stave a person off for a fair amount of time, eventually though, I'd get quite a few cuts across me, quite an upperhand that'd give any opponent. Does he have any physical scars? If so, how did he get them? Any scars...only one. When I was just a boy, 14 years of age, I went on with my father to an old mine, to see if there was any dynamte left. We needed it for a ol' fashioned train robbery. But, while in the mine, I found a rattlesnake...it seemed harmless, so I picked it up. It spat it's searing venom right into my left eye...now that eye's all pitch black and blind as a bat. Does he have some sort of mental instability? If angered, say in a bar fight, how would he react? Mental instability....I don't think I'm even partly loco...though, the last time I was angered, when someone called me a criminal in a bar...I threw him straight out the window, he brought his brother and some others...they were all filled with lead before they could open the bar door.
I'm sure with time you've been able to over come what a hardship only being able to see out of one eye is... How does this disability affect your fighting?
How does it affect the fighting...well, for one, I only see half of the people that try to kill me...so I gotta think fast. Up close and personal fights, that's where the eye comes in handy, first, it intimidates people, and second, they always aim for that side of me...thinking I don't know 'cause of the black eye...but now, it's an easy way for me to win. All in all, I see this eye as a asset more than a disability.
What's your biggest fear? Give us two...both a big fear (the one that keeps you up at night) and a "trivial" phobia (roaches, snakes whatever)
I'll post my character then Name: Marketh Tyron Age: 32 Occupation: A knight of the Bardian Empire He's an honourable person with strong morals and he takes his work very seriously. Even when he's off duty he takes things more seriously than most others around him which gets on people nerves sometimes. Generally he's quite calm but when he does get mad, he gets very mad and he lets his temper get the better of him in these situations.
Hi Marketh! 1. What do you do on your time off? 2. What do you think of the Bardian Empire, the very empire you're guarding? 3. What made you become a knight? 4. Were you always this serious, or did it come with the training/ scenarios of being a knight? 5. And last, is there a marketplace where you live? What do you think of it, and what would you do if someone accidentally bumped YOU but said that you were at fault? Okay, that is all. I look foward to hearing from you
A young child has been caught stealing food from a vendor. He' can't be over 5 years old, his parents are gone, he is an orphan. It is your responsibility to handle the situation, how do you ? You've been accused of a crime by a notable person in the court. It is a lesser crime well under your station. What do you do? You've been fired from your position as a guard, what skills do you posses to help you find work and support yourself. You're about to get married, describe your bride and why you've chosen to wed her.
@ Protar. - Your employers kidnap your loved one and demand you perform a dangerous quest, what do you do? - There is a revolt, do you side with the rebels or the empire? - Do you have any bad habits? I would also like to post one of my characters: Name: Oliver Taylor (Ollie) Job: Works for a PR company, as a 'PR guy'. Description: Brutally disfigured his cosmetic surgery obsessed wife in chapter one. The main story begins two years prior, however. He is currently a young, impressionable 'PR guy' who has just finished his internship. Very naive, clean (no criminal record) and comes from a lower middle-class family. Trusting, but very, very ambitious.
