I just found out I'm taking a pay cut of about £200 a month, hence the lack of activity due to overtime and job hunting, so if you earn more than me then I'd be happy to! I've never worked in a grocery store/supermarket. Worked just about everywhere else. Gift shop, mens clothing section in a department store, waitress, dish washer, newspaper round, babysitter, on a lottery ticket and information kiosk, administration assistant in a vehicle rental company, in a pet shop, telesales, customer service, and now I listen to insurance sales calls to make sure they're compliant with regulations. Dullest. Job. Ever. I actually fall asleep on my desk and wake up when my head hits the keyboard.

Sounds dull. Sorry about the pay cut, I know how that is. My mom worked part time while in college and it was tough with less money. I don't make a lot though, I only work part time.

In a good month I usually earn about £850 after tax and there are bonuses on top but the bonuses are what they're taking away from us. My bills come to about £750 a month so I'll have about £100 to live on now whereas before I had between £250 and £450 because I could do extra work and get my bonus. Stupid work.

I'm sorry. :( It's difficult, I know, but I'm sure you'll be able to make it work. You just have to try and stay positive. Believe me, I know how it is getting pay cuts.

Unfortunately none of us have a union so work can do what they want to us and there's not much we can do about it because it's the bonus package and not our basic wage. I'm going to work hard to get my maximum bonus for the couple of months we have left of it and look for a new job somewhere else at the same time. Because where I live is more of a tourist attraction seaside town it's hard finding a decent job. That and I didn't go to university so I only have my A Levels to rely on. Urgh. Maybe I'll sell a kidney. Anyone want a kidney?

Not having a union is awful. :( Wisconsin's complete ass of a governor, Scott Walker, signed his anti-union bill into law recently. All through February there were thousands of people protesting in the state's capital.

We're having our recall elections soon. People petitioned against the Republican senators after the February fiasco.

Man, I should go sleep... it's past 1 and I'm nowhere near sleeping. Of course, this laptop isn't helping.

    Tired already, and it's only 10:15am :(
My son was up at 7 o'clock, and had ran through the houselike a tazmanian devil for three hours straight. Thank goodness for naps :) !!

    How's your morning Link?

^I'm tired already, too, and it's only 8:30. Is it too soon to take a nap if you just woke up half an hour ago?

No, hiddennovelist, it isn't. Especially if there aren't any responsibilities or obligations for the day- snooze it up!!

Beautiful. There are a couple things I should do today, but practice got canceled, so I don't have any real obligations...all day nap time? I think so.

Swam a few laps, just relaxing.

Re-playing Oblivion with a fully-fledged mage. Used to play as warriors, assassins and theives who prided on their swordsmenship and bows, but now I will rely solely on magic.

This will bide my videogame time until Skyrim comes along.

    When does Skyrim come out?

And I keep trying to talk Joel into going swimming, but we never do...we've lived in this apartment complex for a full year now and never once used the pool.

11-11-11  (and that's the only thing I know about it)

Just drag him into the pool, then he doesn't have a choice.

Ok, so that's one of the games that Joel warned me about...he told me Friday that in November he was going to go into video game hibernation because two games he wanted came out. I told him I planned on watching a lot of movies in November, so he wouldn't be able to use the TV. ;)

And I would, but I can't go swimming right now anyway. Wah.

Edit: Dude, we signed up for this Chili's promotional thing, so they would email us coupons, and now every effing coupon they send me is a kids' meal coupon. I don't have any kids!! Bastards.
