This was from the midnight showing of HP7 part 2; I know the pictures aren't the best (especially the second one; friend is horrible at taking pictures), but you get the idea. It was a blast.

 

So awesome. Someday, I'm going to convince Joel to dress up for a midnight premier with me...

It actually does have something written on it, but it is in effect an IOU.

Congratulations!

Our high school diploma was like that too; we were given the case, but because everyone's robes were rented, we weren't allowed our diplomas until we had returned our robes in decent condition directly after the ceremony.

 

^ Seriously? lol! Did you get refunded for the robes? Wish I could have rented, it would have been cheaper than spending like $40 for something I'd only use once.

 

Nope, but the rentals cost just about as much as that! It was kinda ridiculous. But it makes for a good story, I guess.

I earned academic honors too, but I didn't get any recognition at the time. They mailed out stickers to everyone who earned honors, and we put them on our diplomas ourselves... hahah.
