I have trouble talking to people too. Can't initiate conversations, my replies tend to be one word replies like 'yeah', and I stay silent when in a group unless something is directed at me and even then sometimes I don't talk.

So I agree that there is a bright side to it.

Mercurial: Hope you interact with better people soon. :)

    Mallory: People like that suck.

@ Eunoia- Damn, I thought I was the only one. Teach me to make judgements based off of flimsy evidences (a flaw of mine I'm trying to eradicate. Keyword here is "trying".)

My replies vary depending on the situation. Sometimes they're just small phrases and others I'm actually in the conversation gabbing away like the others.

Link: You're not the only one. :p I thought that too but there's actually a lot of similar people out there. I've just never met them in person yet.

Where the bloody hell is the government? We have an escalating, international financial crisis, and serious riots in Tottenham. The country is on the verge of going to shit.

Where's the Prime Minister? On holiday.

Where's the Deputy Prime Minister? On holiday.

    Where's the Chancellor? On holiday.

This is utterly ridiculous. In 2007, when there were mass floods across England, Gordon Brown cancelled his holiday, and was back in Downing Street, taking a hands on approach to solving the problem. Now, we're left in the hands of William Hague, a man who wasn't good enough to lead the country in 2001, and has only gotten worse with age.

I would say 'everyone needs a holiday' ... but they are running the country. So yeah. They need to come back and do their fricken jobs. David Cameron seems reluctant to address the public when he is here anyway and when you watch parliament you can see Nick Clegg's soul slowly dying. This 'coalition' is turning into a joke.

I can't blame the riots on them though, the riot was apparently over a gunman who was threatening police officers and was shot and killed. If that's true then what are people angry about? Actions have consequences.

I have to agree with Lemmy here. Sure a vacation is okay every now and then, but those folks need to be in their offices now.

I mean, if there was a big-ass riot in DC, I would expect Obama to be there to get the job done, not take a vacation in Hawaii.

    From what? Wrecking the economy?

I'm not blaming the riots on them. Just saying that when things are so bad they should be at their desks. I'm still hazy on the background of the riot, and the dust has yet to fully settle, so I'm not commenting on it yet. But it just increases the feeling of being back in the 80s.

The riots, I'm watching the coverage now, where apparently about a gunman, Mark Dungham, who shot at police last week and the police had to use lethal force.

There has to be more to it, that seems like a shitty reason to riot to me.

And I wasn't saying you were blaming them. :)

That's what is being said on the news at the moment anyway. This Mark Dungham's family have not condoned the riot too.

More information has got to come, or I'll lose respect for a large number of people.

Thanks for your support, everyone. And I would love for you to drop-kick someone off a cliff right about now, Mal. ;)

I know I didn't deserve it (ha ha), but I suppose you're right that it could be worse. At least I have the ability to interact with people at all (although it wasn't always like that) and am able to experience things that make me feel so high and so low. Otherwise I couldn't really say I was living life, right?

Seriously, what is with old faces who just say 'Hey, how you doing?' on Facebook before signing out? This has happened to me twice today, and it's getting irritating.

That's annoying. It's like, why did you bother saying anything if you just go offline straightaway?!

How about: I'm upset everyone ask me if I have a facebook.

Then you have to tell them no. And then they want a big giant reason or explanation of why you don't want facebook. They get mad that "i don't like it" is not a reason to not try it.

So I end up having to give out weird explanations like, "Cause facebook supports inappropriate touching of tentacle monsters." So then they drop the subject.

But still Facebook in itself is annoying.

Just tell them, "I have no face." Let them ponder that.

It's always irritating as hell when people bug you about why you don't do something they think you should do. They need to get a life.

That is why they will usually get a smartass response if they ask me such questions.

I'm really sick of people talking about me behind my back, and especially when it's not in a good way. If you have a problem with me, have the guts to tell it to my face. Even if it's on a forum.
