I'm just having a wonderful week with my writing! I'm writing more and more every day, and I feel inspired for the first time in weeks. :)

Today (Saturday) I was at work at 7:36. Yesterday I had to end the night early because of this "last month before delivery extra effort".

And yet, I have a smile in my face. I don't know if it was the zero traffic, the deep house and chillout that replaced the usual morning radio shows or the fact that I'm not unhappy.

Something about not having anything to complain about makes me happy. I'm strange like that.

Last night I came up with a great idea for a story. This morning I realized that it could solve issues that I hadn't even seen yet in another story idea of mine. Before I basically would've just said they found it or they were lucky but now I can explain it. Things falling into place... Feels great!

After checking the Skyrim countdown, I realized there was only three days left.

Then I suddenly had a Zelda fangasm and was instantly reminded of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

    Thus, my new sig. 8)

Quick, Link! We have three days to save a whole new realm from evil!

btw, I wonder what race Link should be? I was thinking either Altmer or Bosmer...

I saw a play yesterday (on my own like a loser) which was gooood. It was from the West End and had great reviews so I expected it to be good. Also, some dude started talking to me while I was walking to the theatre which was nice. He walked me to the theatre an' all. What a nice stranger.

Survived a Greek/Roman test despite not being able to go to sleep the night before.

Last night, I managed to sleep for 10 hours. :3

Not everyday has this combination of nice feedback, from several quarters, and free chocolate.

Tis one of those days today.

I was just told by my supervisor that I don't have to show up to lab until next Thursday because the big conference is this weekend, and I've got all my stuff done for it. :D Yay for mini-vacations!

And I woke up in a shit mood today, but this guy who I've been sort of seeing lately sent me a morning text with a surprise... In our town tonight, a really popular edm artist is going to be playing at one of the local nightclubs. I'd heard about the show months ago, but I've already seen (and actually met) the artist before, and the venue is 21+, so I didn't really give it a second thought because I don't have or care to acquire a fake ID. Additionally, the show has been sold out for weeks (maybe months), the tickets were a little expensive for my taste, and, again, the venue is 21+. But guess what? He just got us both in for free!

:) Yay! Happy day for me!

My anthology has now been listed on Duotrope's Digest! It's been slow going, but I may at last be getting somewhere with it.

Good stuff, Dante! Good luck with it. One thing, though - I noticed on the guidelines you haven't mentioned whether it's paid or for the love?

I'm happy 'cause I've finished the paper 1st edit of my 91k novel. I'm bummed that I now have to put all the edits into the actual document, which will no doubt be very stressful and confusing.

I've just had to rush out some class work that myself and EVERYONE forgot about, so I've got a stress headache. At least I was productive...

It's non-paying. Much as I'd love to pay anyone who gets in, the person funding the whole thing is me, and I can't afford to pay anything for stories. But if you want to send something to the anthology myself and my crack team of editors will be happy to read it, even if we're only shortlisting rather than accepting at the moment. And I'll accept help with publicising it in universities, schools and workplaces from any source :)

(And I mean any source - I've even roped one of my ex-girlfriends into helping out!)

A chap chats to and escorts an unaccompanied woman? "Nice", quite possibly, but perhaps we should also add "hopeful"?

Is at 17.5k for NaNo, and is still typing. :) So very excited at what all I have accomplished today! :)
Edit yesterday the 8th is officially over, and I wrote 9,270 words alone yesterday causing me to be at 21,807 words! :D I feel so accomplished today! Now my brain feels like it is going to go in a meltdown though. :p

    9,270 in a day

I struggle to get to 3,000. How do you get to almost 10,000 in one day?

Haha, I think he was just being friendly. :p But perhaps he was, I'd be very surprised if that was the case though.

Woah, how do you write so much in one day? Like Dante, I struggle to get 3,000 or anything more in one day. Congrats on the word count though, I'm way behind on mine. :p

I just saw a commercial for some new kind of diet dinners (that actually looked tasty, but that's besides the point) and they showed the body of a NORMAL woman! I mean, she was thin, but that normal, healthy and fit kind of thin you should actually strive for, and not one of those insanely skinny models who has stomachs that goes inwards. I am officially proud of the world.

Bless you, Athena, most merciful goddess! Bless you! <gives votive>

I made an 86 on my Greek/Roman Culture test. My first B in the class! 8D My other test grades were 58 and 78.

Now I just need to make at least a "B" on my last test and the Finals and I shall survive.
