Discuss! That would wholly depend on one thing: Can this robot clone be able to learn? Or will this robot clone just be forever time/memory-frozen? Speaking for Sabby, because right now she's too busy devising an assassination on some big-timers, I would say she would not want any of her loved ones (she doesn't claim ability to love) to be brought back to life in robot or clone form. He has been betrayed, falsely accused and drummed out of his job. At this low moment he has been force fed some really bad juju by a Reverend with his own bizarre agenda. But remember, when this MC was just an impressionable lad, he ran off to the military as a senseless answer to a fight with his father. He got in way over his head and most of his unit was massacred. He has precious little real world experience to guide life-and-death decsions. He meets your two characters, one old, one young. Sadly, he must coldly decide on which one has best chance for survival--as he did watching his own men die. If the old man is infirm and cannot make the ordeal, he will be unceremoniously rejected. If the young man is flighty, a burden, a risk to unit cohesion or just a fool who will step on the first landmine they cross, he will reject him simply by the same numbers. Sadly, my MC will make a snap decision based solely on the stereotypes of ageism. Old man slow. Young man stupid. As for my dilemma, my MC is under a death sentence from a monarchy. He has never been to this territory before. He has only what he can carry, and the infrastucture there is rundown by a foolish queen. His own people don't know where he is, and probably couldn't vector a gunship to him even if they had reliable intell. He confronts your MC. Nothing can force a decision. Portia would probably physically threaten him for supplies. If intimidation does now work well, she did learn something from the secret police about interrogation. Yochanan's character is based on JFK, so he would want (as he expresses in the chapter he's introduced) to study more about history, know more history, focus on that, and not get into that whole leadership thing. Of course, JFK had other hobbies, which I will not include in my story, because I want minors to be able to read it without their parents condemning me. Raiden would pick the first person who tries to oppress her or pisses her off, she wouldn't think it through and choose a specific person. Fin would pick Emery, her captor, so he'd understand why he has to let her go and then actually do it. Emery would pick Fin so she'd shut the hell up.
