Got my college signet ring in the mail today! :D It is now on my right ring finger, and it shall stay there 24/7 for the rest of my life. It's the right size and everything!

Hm. Now whenever you write a letter, you should use sealing wax and stamp it.

lol! xD To be honest, I'm not sure if I want to stamp it with wax. It may hurt the signet ring!

It's not exactly made for stamping. xD

    Your ring sounds awesome, Link!

I had a very relaxing day today. My sister and I had fun blaring music outside while splashing in our pool. I love Summer! (Not sure if the neighbors loved our singing though...:p)

My roommate is home from the convalescent home to complete his hip-replacement recovery in the peace and privacy of our own home. Great news!

I'm on holiday in Provence, sitting in a sunlounger, messing about on my phone and reading. Bliss!

    Always a good thing.

I'm sitting here in the late morning, just enjoying the first sunny weather in a week!

I've just had my hair cut, it's weird, I usually have long, shoulder-length hair but now I don't. It's quite short. And I keep flicking imaginary loose strands of hair away for my eyes whenever I'm looking down at something.

The best thing is, this cut doesn't look too shabby. :)

Writing's back on track after a week of being very lazy and making excuse after excuse. I've got work this week and all next, which is annoying, but there should still be plenty of time to finish my book. I reckon I'll be done with the first draft within the next two weeks. :D

Still, work always feels like such a stone in the timetable. Even if I've got plenty of time before or after my shift, somehow my brain goes into "can't do this" mode and writing gets put off. =/

I'll make it my goal this week not to let that happen, I think.

Happy news today! (Eunoia would appreciate it - patience paid off after six weeks)

I won't go into detail just now, but will say more in a couple weeks.

^ Woo, patience does work then. Congrats on whatever happy news it is.

I need to distract myself this weekend onwards for a couple of weeks so I've decided that when I'm not watching tennis (it's Queen's and Wimbledon after all), I'm going to be planning and writing a new novel. I've already polished about a tenth of one novel but I've lost my enthusiasm for it so I'm just going to start a new one which I'm quite excited about. I haven't figured out the plot yet but I have a rough idea. So I'll be alternating between novel writing/planning, reading and watching tennis for the next couple of weeks or so. :D (And job hunting but that's not a happy thing.)

I've reached the 80k mark with my new WIP, and the end isn't too far away! :D I'm so excited.

Life has been working incredibly well with me.

-Went to Orlando. Saw Universal's IoA (Harry Potter Park!) and came home with massive contraband. Saw Disney, had many pictures taken a la infatuated tourist.
-Second book finished with a small hiccup, but easily fixable. I'm ever impressed with any impressions I make on people, especially when they say they love/like my work.
-New spare hobby? Stock photos. New favorite hobby? Photography.
-Shed off over 5 pounds so far in my attempt to get fit this summer. 147lbs and counting! As soon as I hit the needle at 130 I'll be good to go.

Oh gosh, I just realized how that may sound. No needles for me please!

Ahem. I will be losing weight the healthy and proper way, and when the 'needle on the scale' finally says 130, I'll be much more satisfied.

@lilix morgan: Ah, you make me miss living in Florida. I lived right next to Orlando and went to Universal and Disney all the time. Had to go and marry a Canadian, though. Haha.

I'm super happy because my hubby and I have very exciting news that we've known for well over a month now. Still have to wait a few more weeks to make the official announcement. Boo.

Your starting weight is below my target! (150lb). Maybe you're shorter, though. I'm still tipping the scales at just under 200lb, but I've lost 16lb in about six weeks, and as of last Sunday I'm no longer "obese", merely "overweight" (BMI below 30), so that's good news, isn't it?

Of course, there's a hidden cost to dieting. I'd realise that I'd have to buy a new set of clothes when I got to my target, but I somehow missed the fact that I actually need to buy a whole load of new sets in between -- every couple of inches that comes off. And I hadn't noticed before, but my local store doesn't do track suit pants in sizes below XL (oh the irony). Still -- 16lb!
