Warp, I think a combination of over-estimated military might, combined with an excessively confident reliance on secured frequencies, and a general lack of intelligence regarding the Rebels assets could contribute to a lack of foresight regarding the mission. After all, you have an urban assault vehicle with 20mm anti-aircraft rounds, a team of Judicators, snipers, and foot soldiers. While you may not know incontrovertibly that Rebels will be defending the plant, it seems as though your command has planned for the possibility. Besides, the power plant is in uncontrolled territory, meaning that Rebel presence is sporadic and inconsistent, at best. I'm sure you can work a believable dialogue from these facts! If not, do what you feel is best, easiest, and most believable, and I'll roll with it!
AWWWWWWWW Kelly is so nice. Kate will take comfort in the thought that the captain at least likes her.
I am eager to read all the other reactions from all the other characters. But for now I must sleep, but I'll be free all day tomomrow. I should be on around 11:30. But I can only guess many of you will have hilarious and tense reactions to this new Human girl. so good night and see you soon!
Oh my god. You guys! I freaking love this! I will try to get a post up at lunch today, but I imagine I'll be pretty busy, so it might have to be in the evening for me. @Ecxalia: when I signed off last night it was 12:30 am. I'm in Greenwich Mean Time.
Woah! I just got home from my 10 hour shift and you guys seem to have gotten the ball really rolling here! @ Warp: My next post will include how Redd woke up in the infirmary (for continuities' sake) and began the mission, caring little about her injuries. But, you have my permission to control my character at anytime I am unavailable to post to continue the story. Whew..I've got a lot of reading to do...
Gosh Anony. I'm not exactly sure what Kelly would do in this situation. Indira (Camilia) is really pushing her. She going to have to stop trying to make everyone like her and act like a real leader. YEAH for character development! Kelly just might have Indira "stay after class."
This may be a bit late (it's directed to sea wolf and warp). Would it not make sense for the NCF to expect resistance? There must be away for them to plan for it without being over powered. Mabye they expect a small squad?
I'm looking forward to that. To be honest, I didn't expect to derail the briefing to such a degree. One nasty comment led to another and it totally spiraled down the toilet bowl, LOL. Mean characters are addictive and pulling them out of that downward spiral and back to a level of being almost likeable is always a fun challenge for me.
we're kind of waiting for pheonix arn't we? Guess we don't have to though. what does everyone else want?
Well, you're doing a wonderful job of it! I thought we were waiting for further input from the NCF regarding a brief, but it seems as though their plans are set! So, I am ready for Kelly to get the brief back on track (wrapped up conclusively), so we can begin the battle charge.
I've set the assault 19 hours after the rebel's brief (in case you didn't notice)! And yeah, we're ready pretty much!
All Right! it seems people want to get on with it. I guess Alister can still write entire tirade about how stupid trusting Kate is on thier way to the plant.
My family and I are headed to a beach house. I won't have internet till this evening. I'll post as soon as I can. If you want to wrap up the breifing and write Kelly flying you to the power plant go ahead.
I'm writing up the initial battle post for the rebels. I will basically put everyone in their positions, build a little action, and leave the rest open for some serious warpaths. I will be taking Alistair with Aeros, as I remember he expressed interest in being on Aeros' squad.
I think there was a misunderstanding, Sea Wolf. The battle is at the front entrance of the facility, where Redd drove the vehicle through the wall, providing a large distraction where all the guards go to that spot to fight it. The actual solar farm should be empty, or thinly guarded, with no battle inside it at all.
I just realized something. This power plant is solar... and about to be on the dark side of the moon, with no sunlight... How's that going to work?
*activates powers of rationalization* It makes more energy than it needs to, so it has energy stored for times like this.
