Hello, everyone! So, I will be taking a leave of absence shortly. I have a week and a half long business trip ahead of me, and will have little time/resources to post with. I will try to get a few more posts up to conclude this mission, but from there, my posting will be minimal. I will be on the discussion forum, though, and reading over the progress while I'm gone! AnonyMouse will be GMing while I am gone, and I am sure that it will be incredible, and I look forward to reading it. Keep it up while I'm gone, if you guys don't give me anything to read, I will be dreadfully bored for a whole week and a half.
Lol Exzalia! It'll be Interesting to see where it's going to develop from here. I'm already thinking of what the NCF will do next... As I'm the only one left on that side - haha!
I belive someone else was Game master while sea wolf is away. The mermaid girls creator I think guess all we can do is wait.
He's curently out of town and left me in charge of GMing the game. Sorry for the absence; I tend to use weekends for my own personal writing and try to get away from the site for a little while. I'll be back tomorrow with something to move things along. Until then, just focus on returning to your respective bases and mingling a little. We'll have a new mission soon (probably around Tuesday or so, once I've PMed it to Sea Wolf for approval).
Alright guys, I think I have an idea where I'd like to go with the next mission. You should be getting PMs sometime early tomorrow. (Sorry, sorry. I know I said I'd do it today, but today was spent plotting in my evil lair. I wanna do this right. *evil laugh*) In the meantime, wrap up what your characters are doing (I'm looking at you Alistair and Kate) because I'm going to move time forward a little. The next mission will take place a few days after the stuff at the power plant. That should be enough time for your characters to heal up, reload, and clean their weapons.
Alright! That's up. Sorry it's so long, had alot to get through there. He's going to be much more effective in battle, able to use void magic for far longer periods of time before becoming weakened. Also, his attitude is gonna be a little different now. He'll still battle with his hatred of humans, and as his hatred grows, his power will diminish. But he'll have better control over it. Whatever happens next, I'll write Alistair entering somehow!
Thanks guys. PMs will be coming out soon, followed closely by a post. I'm working slowly because I keep feeling like I'm missing something. Been a while since I've GMed anything. EDIT: All PMs are sent! If anyone hasn't received one, let me know. Also, Exzalia, you should be receiving two, being that you're a double agent.
@Ecxalia: I think this would be the perfect time to introduce yourself in the briefing room for the NCF. Have the Deputy Commander introduce you.
I've no idea what to have Kelly do. She has next to no hand to hand combat (Maybe Alastair could teach her something...) and she is ok with a gun. Not the best shot though. I don't want her to hold the team back.
She can pilot the chase train, at least. Also, does she have any technical experience? The train might be boobytrapped. We could use someone with mechanical know-how, to disable traps or shut down defenses. Sorry, I know it's not an ideal mission for her, but I think we can make it work.
I'm sure Alistair would be happy to give her some pointers! Does she have any skill with mechanics? That could be useful for operating the chase car or disabling the train. I'm sure there will be something for her to do!
I just had a thought: What is gravity like on the moon? Are their generators in the cities that make it more normal, or is it all like the video we see of Niel Armstrong(rest in peace) and Buzz Aldrin bunny hopping along the surface?
That's a good question, and probably one only Sea Wolf can answer. The moon's natural gravity is about 1/5 of Earth's. That's pretty low and would make movement very awkward. Most of the fight scenes we've written thus far would be almost impossible in 1/5 gravity. So I'm going to go out on a limb and assume the gravity has somehow been altered. If it were actually 1/5, I think that fact would've surfaced in the story by now. PS: I'm amazed it took so long for this question to come up, LOL. It never crossed my mind.
Skills with mechanics is a great idea. I hadn't really thought of it...but now that I am it would only make sense she has an intricate knowlege of machinery. I can throw in some experience with booby-traps to even things out. Alistar mentioned exo-suits. Kelly, without a doubt, would be able to pilot those. Then there was the mention of having a ship follow them as back-up, just in case. I can work with any of those senarios...Anony (team leader) you choose.
