I just read this piece in my online newsletter from Writers' Digest, written by Elisabeth Sims, regarding different ways to create suspense in a novel. This is just about the best piece I've ever read on the subject, and her advice is applicable n0 matter what kind of novel you are writing. Keeping tension high and getting readers to turn pages is a skill we all need to develop, and these are great tools.
