Hello ! I'm new here. can't believe I didn't know this place existed! I have a few technical niggles I want to work out with my current project and it looks like I'm lucky to have discovered this place. I'm Lu, 26, I live in England. I like writing spec fic (love it tbh!), I'd say it's my genre of choice . I also enjoy horror , sci-fi , and low fantasy. If I'm online I write exclusively on my iPhone so please blame any typos on that - my actual writing is not as terrible , I promise!! Outside of writing I enjoy nature, jewellery making , and my pets - I have rats and I love them with all my heart. I ascribe to the solarpunk way of life, trying to leave the planet in a better state than which I found it. I am looking forward to joining this community and look forward to the advice I'm sure to receive and give!
We've already (kind of) met, but I suppose an official "Welcome!" is in order. So... Welcome! If you have any questions about how the forum works, a lot of them are answered here. If you need anything else, we have a wonderful staff here so I'm sure someone would be able to help.
Speculative fiction. An umbrella term for horror, sci-fi, magic realism etc - basically weird stories.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Seems there is just about as many genres of fiction, as there is Metal. (I think it is up to 50 something sub-genres)
It does seem like there are quite a few. Like elements, we keep on finding new ways to arrange stories.
