Heya, I’m just getting settled in. Having long enjoyed the challenge of writing academic papers, I’ve kicked around the idea of pursuing various types of authorship over the years. Now, after a life-changing medical experience most of my text-based creativity takes the form of autobiographical reflections and philosophising. I read nonfiction, historical fiction, speculative fiction, short stories, poetry, and probably other genres that aren’t coming to mind. I love exploring a text and diving into discussion with the author as my journey rarely follows the exact path laid out. The nuances and meanings of words are delicately shaped for each of us as we grow through our experiences.
Welcome to the forum! Looking forwards to seeing you around in the threads - get stuck in, don't be shy!
Hello and welcome Hendry, please make yourself at home. If you have any questions, ask away. Looking forward to seeing you in the forums!
Hi, Hendry! I like the ornate decoration which you have as your icon. It looks like a triple Yin and Yang symbol, otherwise known as a "triskelion" or a "gankyil". Anyway, thank you for introducing yourself. I wish you luck in your pursuits of becoming an author. After all, almost everyone here can relate to that, right?
Hi and Welcome tentative first steps . . . yes, I believe I've walked in these shoes before too if I remember correctly 7 & 8 February 1999) and still going through it and dealing with it. It takes a while and some or most cases, a VERY LONG while. Don't be discouraged and the journey is very different from what you think it is
