If a computer game was very hard to get to grips with in terms of mechanics etc, you might complain that it's 'About as intuitive as...' What? What is very much NOT intuitive? I thought of rocket science, but not intuitive means something other than simply difficult.
Ooooh, now this is the sort of thing I like to play with. First of all, why not shake things up a little, play with it? Is it a character speaking? Even if not, we're getting the scene through someone's eyes, correct? So, what's something that character could consider intuitive? Like, if this is a usual gamer type, he could say 'it's about as intuitive as playing Portal with a joystick!' Or if he's, say, a farmer being convinced to play a video game for the first time you could go with something like 'this makes about as much sense as a rooster layin' eggs'. Over-exaggerated examples, but you get my drift, right?
Those are great examples, @MusingWordsmith. As daft as it sounds I wanted this for a post I was making on another forum regarding a game I'm currently playing. I don't really get the significance of the first one as I don't know what Portal is, but I'm sure others would have.
As intuitive as orbital maneuvering (Up is back, Down is fast, something something I forgot). As intuitive as string theory. As intuitive as an "intuitive" icon in a new application.
Oh well I sure didn't know the context there. XD BTW Porta is a [uzzle video game by Valve that I have no idea how it would work with those old-fashioned joystick/button controller thingys. As for something to use on your other forum, hmmm. As someone who can pick up non-intuitive things pretty easy I'm coming up with a blank on this one.
