Hi everyone, I had my first fiction book published last autumn and my publisher, and others, think it would make a good tv series/film. I have no idea to go about this and i am told it would be good sense to get an agent. I have found this to be almost impossible anyone any suggestions? UK replies only please.
It’s practically impossible to get a film deal from a book that hasn’t already been a best seller. ( and harder still in the uk than it is in the US) If you were with a big publisher they might have contacts to pitch it but since you are asking here I assume that they aren’t and don’t. You need a good agent who has legit film contacts do not under any circumstances pay money to anyone for a film pitch, those sites are all scams, legit agents get a percentage on the deal ( incidentally you put this threads on the completions announcements forum, I’ve moved it but please try and put threads where they make sense in future)
