    Hi all...

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Autonomous, Sep 8, 2017.

    Hello,

All my life I've been a reader. Read everything that remotely interested me, from science fiction to history books. I always thought that perhaps I could write something one day but couldn't really imagine myself conjuring up a whole complex novel with all the characters and unfolding story.

After my Father died, who was a very good diarist, I started to get an idea for a historical fantasy and began piecing it together - still am. I guess I was bitten by the bug then and have written some short stories which I really enjoy doing. The hope is to get a website up and running and put some of my writing out there.

I look forward to being a part of this forum and contributing to it.

    Thanks.

Shorts can be pretty complex, and novels
can be pretty simple. And vice versa. It
all depends on if you write the stories
you would want to read. Anything can
be what you want it to be.
Good luck, and have fun.

Thanks. I must admit one of my short stories is more of a 'novella' and I still need to do a final rewrite so we'll see. I do try to let them become whatever they become though. Maybe I'll pluck up the courage to sample some on here. :)
