Afternoon to you all. I am Brian (though my family nickname is Bär Chi), an aspiring author from Florida. I have arrived here hoping to build relationships and gain perspective on my sense of world-building, character design and hopefully find myself inspired by the imaginations of fellow writers. About myself: I read often, my reading materials predominantly non-fiction, academic textbooks. Lately, it's been history, though I am on my first read through the Fellowship of The Ring, my first read through of A Chamber of Secrets, and A Grain of Wheat (by Kenyan author, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o). I care to sing, too; I once dedicated a hand to lyricism and poetry, though it has long been inactive. Perhaps I can find my heart for it again here. I also care to dance, though as it is with singing, I am not formally trained. I am the youngest of four siblings, and originally was born in Germany. I am Afro-Germanic, with my father's heritage being of Jamaica. As of now, I have a couple short stories and a couple plays that I have yet to complete, with all except one taking place in my IP.
