This book is magic. When I read it, then return to what I have written it is as though Joss is creating in an entirely different medium. Her characters are alive. Alive by god, and they live in real places. I am only about twenty three percent finished but I am hooked. Her imagery is poetic but does not slow the narrative. I can feel the banality, futility, and longing in the characters.
