Random question, but do people still eat toasted teacakes over in England and can they still be purchased from a bakery/cafe? I just used them in my WIP then wondered if they are still around - certainly never see them in NZ. (Mmmmmmm, I could just murder one now )
Oh yes still prevalent, supermarkets and bakeries, here up north at least. I was at my Dad's the other night, he had four lined up (not for me :-( ) as big as saucers they were (my eyes)—minded to add them now to the shopping list this week (not eyes—teacakes). Someone I know has a toaster whereby you can dial in the strength of the heat for each individual side of whatever it is you're toasting. Made with these in mind I'm sure.
