    Toasted Teacakes

Discussion in 'Research' started by Viridian, Dec 1, 2016.

Random question, but do people still eat toasted teacakes over in England and can they still be purchased from a bakery/cafe? I just used them in my WIP then wondered if they are still around - certainly never see them in NZ.

(Mmmmmmm, I could just murder one now :pop:)

Oh yes still prevalent, supermarkets and bakeries, here up north at least. I was at my Dad's the other night, he had four lined up (not for me :-( ) as big as saucers they were (my eyes)—minded to add them now to the shopping list this week (not eyes—teacakes).

Someone I know has a toaster whereby you can dial in the strength of the heat for each individual side of whatever it is you're toasting. Made with these in mind I'm sure.

Brilliant, thanks Seth. Have to make do with fruity toast here, similar but not the same.
