    I wish...

Discussion in 'Electronic Publishing' started by quincarroll, Feb 3, 2012.

I have self published a non-fiction book about Twitter on Amazon Kindle. About 240 people got it for free during the 3 days that I "sold" it for nothing...

It would be nice if just one of them gave it a thumbs up, or a review. Even a bad review.

Too much trouble I guess :(

    Hi,

I realize I'm new here, but I sell a lot of non-fiction stuff, not on Amazon, but other places. And I've learned over the years that the only way people will review stuff, in like 99% of cases, is if you ask them. On the last page of your report ask for a review and give them a link. In addition, just to make it clear that reviewing my stuff is worth their time, (since I'm the one asking for it) I offer something for free. The easiest way to do this is to have a newsletter sign up that will automatically send them stuff if they join, but you could just ask them to e-mail you with a link to their review. Just make sure the freebie is worth their time as well. Or they'll never bother with your stuff again. :)

1.you ask friends and acquaintences/co-workers to read the book and write a review for amazon
2.you sign up with a book review service [google for them]
