So one of the civilizations I have in my WIP is based on the Scythians. I know enough to be dangerous about their mounted archers, bows, javelins, etc but I decided to give them a unique knife...a knife with an inwardly curved blade around 32-34 centimeters total length. And then this happened: The real Scythians, unbeknownst to me, really did make a knife exactly the way I imagined it. It has to be a one-in-a-million chance to create a fictional civilization in a fantasy story, arbitrarily assign them a unique weapon only to find their real-life counterparts really designed and used such a weapon. Sorry...mind was blown, had to share...
