DAB / Internet radio - is there a difference?

I’m looking for a cheap radio that allows me to preset a number of internet radio channels. I’ve looked at DABs, but they all come with those ugly archaic extendable ariels, which I’m guessing what makes them different to internet radios, as they use WiFi to relay the channels and don’t require an ariel. Can’t find anything on amazon, not even sure if what I’m looking for even exists.

 

Have you considered a wireless

 

A wireless what? Or is this a joke going over my head? A wireless, as in the old fashioned term for radio, can’t get internet radio stations.

All have presets, all are internet, and all can receive standard FM signals. "Global Versions" offer both DAB and internet radio.

Have you checked out Amazon and other online vendors for Chinese devices?

 

Yeah. Amazon just clumps DAB and internet radio together. I did get slightly better results when I searched for WiFi radio, but I can’t really find what I’m looking for. It’s just another one of my impulse buys, of something I don’t really need. I bought an Echo Dot a couple of days ago, which will apparently play internet radio stations, but it’s a rather complicated process and I wasn’t having much luck when I tried.
