Hello from another newbie! This looks like a great place to be and I'm looking forward to finding my way around. I've been writing things since I was about 8...mainly poetry then, but some stories more recently too. This year is the year I'm determined to make a serious go of it! My writing is a bit sort of 'stop and start' at the minute, so I'm determined to get disciplined enough to write every single day! You sound a lot like myself. I need to discipline myself into writing everyday. I love writing don't get me wrong and as soon as I start I go overboard and end up with a lot more than I expected to begin with. As soon as I start I also get lost in the moment I don't always think it out but heavens just the word write makes me feel welcome. It's such a familiar word. But the problem is making time to sit down and write. Anyway I hope your disciplining turns out well (and better than my own ) and you get the best out of this site.
Welcome to the Writer's Forum, hiddenwillow. I tghink (and hope!) that writing in a group setting will help develop the discipline to hone your writing. That, plus the opportunity to receive feedback from others serious about writing and improving, is why I am here also.
