Hello! If there is a dialogue going on, for example" "There is no way to get out!" Alohio said Giro's face contorted: "Oh no, but we must! "Fine!" Alohio exclaimed A loud bang occurred as they ran out of the station. Would you put dots for all the sentences? Don't they just create visual noise?
for the first sentence, "There is no way to get out!" Alohio said is that ok or should it be: "There is no way to get out!" Alohio said. I get that the second way is "more correct," but if I have many such "fragments" all those dots feel like unnecessary/like they add visual noise and interrupt the flow, like: he said DOT she replied DOT
The "dots" are full stops or periods, depending on which dialect of English you speak. They tell us when a sentence ends (along with ! and ?, both of which you've used). If you miss them out, it looks as though part of the text is missing. In addition, if someone realises that you're using bad grammar, they might choose not to read your work (I know I would). Personally, I would add them. As a question, when you read a book, do the full stops create visual noise for you, or are they almost invisible until your attention is drawn to them?
If you're talking about these two dots, that's a colon, and no, you don't use it in dialog. Just use a period. (Also, you'll want to close your quotes, but I'm guessing that's a typo.)
With all the punctuation problems in your post, I would highly suggest you pick up some sort of punctuation and grammar guide, maybe an easy one like The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. It covers the basics and isn't hard to follow. https://www.amazon.com/Elements-Style-Fourth-William-Strunk/dp/020530902X/ref=sr_1_1?crid=EFTO8YTPOKU4&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.BfiLZ4PIXW697i5-VH3_EZqXXrGw6xJV2CtboTj54cEg529SWh93vLb4UIdW3lnyVW_DjXOSpMD52agKHDdDmTA8ilsdhqV2l--ZVUSVvRc94YDnENb6mVAIK8-x2wt1fO2aCWoarqB9YJqBLY2Qw5P8BwFMUS7iHCjUPbzsFBjZ41eOVeE_bieB8ZvkdYq54xzKlCD08eH7PokC4HY8df8PC-IOoaNfu9gkKjTkyW4.jT3VHyV6FLpZKZSfjpOEoGOMIy4MUFrRVoYSiM_ZnUA&dib_tag=se&keywords=strunk+white&qid=1710449884&sprefix=strunk+white%2Caps%2C493&sr=8-1
Oh, I'm sorry. I am so slow. You mean periods at the end of sentences. Yes, end those sentences with periods. Another hint: don't overdo the exclamation points, either (!!!). I second finding a copy of The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. In six decades of writing, I've not found anything better. Good luck to you.
Decided to give it a shot and already read the first 5 chapters - since I'm in the process of editing my manuscript, this thing reads like a suspense thriller and is full of answers to exactly the things I need.
