You know that you're a writer when...

    Finish the thought below...
    Here's mine...

You know you're a writer when you're sitting in your public library writing on your laptop while sipping iced tea and listening to quiet music on headphones.

You know you're a writer when you carry notebooks in your purse to jot down ideas that randomly pop into your brain while doing random things...

    • You can't stop thinking about your own stories and characters, even when playing video games. (Damn you, Oblivion for having such a perfect character customization for me to make my characters! :p)

    • You play Super Smash Bros Wii U and pick characters from the roster that you think your characters would like.

    • You name your pet after one of your characters.

...when you start talking about your characters like they are alive.

...when you are convinced that every word is crap, but keep coming up with more.

...when you know more about your fictional world than what is going on in the actual world.

Your notebook is full of really random phrases that look like the ravings of a mad person from the perspective of an outsider.

    Examples:

Listen to music the way we used to
    Menkle Moose raised by mice
    Fantastic realism
Affair. Both men played by same character
    Tongue too big for mouth
    Polk Street
    Leg warmers
    2015
    Are we reading?
    Documentary about documentaries

You hear some people's life stories and instantly start writing the novel of them in your head.

You know you're a writer when you get all the day's mandatory work done almost effortlessly, and you have at least four hours to spend writing before you eat dinner and go to bed, but you still feel like a bad, lazy person for wasting the first part of the day on the Internet instead of getting started then. :agreed:
