Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by chandler245, Apr 8, 2009.

Where do you go to the review room workshop? How often are they held and how do you find the room?

How do you know when what you've written for others is construed as constructive? I've posted a few times with my comments on poetry. I wanted to post a short story up but have no idea when I should do so.

Basically if you want to post a short story, you would be better off reviewing a couple of short stories first. Then post yours up, otherwise people might not bother to review your work.

If you have been partaking in the review process and reviewed some members work on the boards, you should be able to post up your own work now. Don't get upset if you don't get feedback straight away, it can time. But the best way to get feedback is to offer others feedback. :)

    Hope that this helps.

In addition to this, I would look over my own story and see if any of the things I spotted wrong with the reviewed works were happening in my own story.

So and so uses 'and' an aweful lot; how often do I use it?

That is what everyone means by "reviewing will strengthen your writing."

I have posted a few reviews, I guess, but I think someone said they had to be a minimum length? How long is that?

It is not a matter of length. It is a matter of content. Nearly every post used to close a thread contains a link to a post that explains what constitutes Constructive Critique.

    Okay, thanks for clarifying.
