It seems you've answered your own question, by giving the already complete description, you're just overwriting it, methinks...

"...a tall, lanky male is dancing about like Mr. Bean."

    Isn't that clear enough?

That's not how it's written in the story, I was just setting the scene so that I could get help with a description, just dancing like Mr Bean didn't seem sufficient enough.

I guess not everyone knows how Mr Bean dances but then again does it really matter, you could imagine the sort of dancing Mr Bean on E would do? I chose this description as the character is based on someone I know that really does dance like Mr Bean, I suppose I could always use "dad dancing" as another option but its an overused description of dancing really.

You could say 'dancing awkwardly and lacking in coordination' as that is how I've come to view Mr. Bean dancing. Of course I also find Elaine's attempts on the old sitcom Senfield to be thoroughly entertaining.

I think of Rowan Atkinson pelvic-thrusting vigorously to Shaggy.

I need to say this to get it out of my head...

Every time this thread pops back up in the recent posts column I start singing John Lennon's Imagine. :D

I tried to post this video but hadn't been a member long enough, that is exactly the kind of dancing I mean.

Just say "dancing like Mr Bean" - everyone will think of quite a specific image, which is what you want anyway.

    Otherwise, "dancing like a dork"?

Dork = Nerd = Geek more or less. Hopefully you'll know at least one of these terms! :D (not questioning your English, but these are slang terms that differ between countries and this forum is quite international, so...)

I also think "dancing like Mr Bean" is perfectly clear. However you can always try to come up with a confusing hyperbole to describe it, such as "dancing like a demented monkey on crack".
