OO Writer refuses to print a specific word

Discussion in 'Writing Software and Hardware' started by OurJud, Nov 3, 2017.

I created a CV using a two-column table. In the left hand column I have a header in each row (Name, Address, Work History etc) and then in the adjoining columns the details for each.

When I print the document everything prints okay, apart from the header 'Name' (this is the first, so at the top-left of the page).

I've checked the font, the colour. I've deleted the word and typed it back in. I've come out of OO and back in, but this one word flatly refuses to print.

If I were treating this as a software bug, I would:

    - Type in a different word to see if it also vanishes.
    - Put a space in front of 'Name'.
    - Put a period in front of 'Name'.
    - Put a two-word header where 'Name' currently is.

None of that would fix it (well, unless the space works; that might look fine), but it could be informative.

It's too late to try those things now. It's 04:00 and I just want my bed.

    I'll try tomorrow. Thanks.

I left out: Add a new top row, with nothing in it, and see if the headers print if they're in the second row.
