    Bringing down a government ?

Discussion in 'Plot Development' started by Linz, Dec 18, 2019.

    Hi all.

I'm planning to rewrite one of my WIPs - a prequel to a novel I've already written, and I need a reason for the antagonists to need to erase the protagonists' memories.

Protags are a married couple, both spies, working together.

Main antagonist is the Russian government.

I've come up with the idea that the protags know something that could bring down the Russian government. What I'm struggling with, though, is what that info could be.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Not to go on a tangent, but why keep them alive if they know something so dangerous?

Thanks for the reply, but your question is irrelevant, and doesn't answer mine.

    Just Wow!

And @Selbbin asks a good question. If they're that much of a liability, why keep them alive.

They clearly have them in their custody, why not just kill them and be done with it.

Is there a reason for the Russian government to keep them alive.
