    How to write a deconstruction?

Discussion in 'Revision and Editing' started by Clementine_Danger, Aug 26, 2017.

Does anyone have any experience writing a by-the-book literary deconstruction? Or a recommendation for decent how-to guides? I can find a ton of guides and info online, but I don't have the experience to filter out the best ones.

Are you trying to write a how-to guide or a work of fiction that deconstructs the common themes of a genre?

Probably the best place to go is TVtropes.org.

They have entire pages on deconstruction.

If you want to go one of the traditional academic routes, I would suggest Derrida's Writing and Difference. It's a series of essays tackling the topic of deconstruction.
