    E-Readers

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Stephen1974, Sep 27, 2019.

This seems to be the most appropriate thread to put this in as no doubt many of you reading books will be doing so on an e-reader.

I currently have a Kobo Arc. which, in its day was almost perfect. As an e-reader it was great, and it also functioned as a tablet, the only negative was a camera facing towards you and not one faceing away. I liked the two in one function of an e-reader and a tablet.

Unfortunately Kobo have stopped support the Arc and it's starting to struggle, as an e-reader rather than a tablet, with things going very slow, books not being readable and a bunch of other things.

So I am looking for another e-reader/tablet (NOT a kindle, I refuse to buy kindle due to their business practices) but the current Kobo ones just seem to be pure e-readers.

Anyone recommend something that would be suitable?

I think I have a kobo account, but I know there are kindle apps for various tablets. Though not sure about the kindle fire tablet, but most tablets can have apps for various ebook companies.
