I'm Ed from Alabama. I'm a retired English teacher and outdoor writer and photographer. I work for a number of regional and national outdoor and rural living magazines both print and online. I've published four books- not that I've made much money from them, but there is something very warm about seeing my name and an ISBN number linked together. I usually do four to five articles each month, and that's a very workable amount. It doesn't take too long to put a 1400 word article on fishing or boating together. I've edited a number of magazines over the years. I work from home, and I have a small Boston terrier of great age who assists me. Her snoring as she sleeps on her blankets is conducive to thinking, I have found. My wife and I live in rural southernmost Alabama where we hike, fish, kayak and walk the beaches.
