Well Wishes to Those in California

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Lewdog, Aug 24, 2014.

I know we have some active members from California so I wanted to send out some well wishes to them. It looks like there is some significant damage but fortunately no deaths reported. From what I've read electricity is still out in many areas.

There were some injuries but no fatalities. But there's a bit more damage than the usual CA quake bestows on the place.

I too hope people are well, forum members or not.

That must have been pretty scary. I've never experienced a real earthquake, and I'm always amazed when some of our members who live in such areas can take earthquakes in stride.

A cousin recently sent me a copy of a narrative a great-uncle of ours wrote of his experiences during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Talk about taking things in stride! After the initial shock, he just went back to bed!
