Anyone want to join a project to publish and market a book, and document how it goes as we do it? We would need someone with a book ready to publish, who has a reasonable amount they'd be willing to pay for the marketing budget and is willing and able to put the time in to do the marketing required. We can get the forum members with experience in the field to offer their help and advice, and then we post the results as we go along, so other people who want to know how to do it can read and follow what we do - and learn from any mistakes made!
I have already self-published a book (Dec. 24th, 2024) and not really done much in the way of marketing. I did hire a sub-contractor from Fiverr (great price) to make a "book trailer" using blurbs, quotes and graphic images along with orchestral background music. I'm not quite ready to commit any significant funds to marketing until I get more feedback from people I know that are reading the book. I wanted to get unbiased true feedback before investing. I have to remove my own ego and enthusiasm from the desire to be successful and base my decision on comparative reality.
