    Recommend me things to read

Good evening, I was looking to broaden my repertoire. Which novels do you consider a must read?

    Thanks.

Gibran's The Prophet. Hesse's Siddhartha and The Journey to the East, in that order. Kafka's America, The Trial and The Castle, also in that order. Animal Farm and 1984. The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. All of the Viriconium novels by M. John Harrison. Shteyngart's Super Sad True Love Story.

That oughta keep you busy for a while, when you're done with those let me know and I can probably think of some more.
