Hello, hello! I write mostly fantasy, since that's where my head spends the most time! I like to write some thriller, I'm terrible at writing sci-fi but I still like to do it and of COURSE I dabble in romance. I did a lot of writing in Middle School and High School. I even finished my first book in 6th grade! It was a mess and made no sense but I was incredibly proud of it. I promptly threw it away in High School and regret the decision every day! I stopped writing after High School and really want to get back into it. It's something I always loved to do and I don't know why I stopped! I find myself holding myself back now from fear of being inadequate. I'm 26 now and sometimes feel ashamed that I still have a High School level writing ability. I'm so excited to be here. After lurking for about a week, you all seem so kind and accepting and I look forward to getting to know everyone better! Thank you for having me!
Depends on your definition of 'working!' I have had an idea for a novel floating around in my head for about 2 years now. I've got some characters sketched out and some scenes that I've got put together but the act of sitting down to write a chapter can be so daunting! I've been procrastinating so much. I've recently been taking my mental health more seriously and have started writing a little bit everyday because of it! Who knows, joining this forum and seeing everyone's work may kick something into gear for me.
