Platforms like substack or Royal Road? What were your experiences? Any good or bad points in your experiences?

What do you mean by used? I've seen some good articles on Substack, but never submitted anything there. Seems like a decent enough place.

I recently (weeks ago) published on Royal Road. Have 15 views currently, no ratings or comments. It's probably my lack proficiency that keeps my numbers low. But I have also gathered that the site has a big audience for "level up" stories also called litrpgs.

I am considering making Royal Road my main publishing place for now, will upload more stories in a planned series and see if the numbers grow.

    Edit:
Royal Road has a strict originality policy. If you have uploaded your story elsewhere first, you may need to provide proof it is yours if you want to upload that same story to Royal Road. Therefore it is best to upload to RR first, then to your other places.

I suggest spreading your work far and wide on many platforms and interlinking them if you want to build an audience. Though that is only my theory for success as I only have one short story published so far and it has gone unnoticed and without much interest.

Thanks. That is good info. I recently saw an article on an author named Shirtaloon, which said he is making 15-20k a month using royal road. Based on that i figured it was worth taking a look.
