I did, thank you! I really appreciate your feedback and will probably take your advice and restructure it a bit. Now...if you were an agent and I sent you a more revised version of that...would you keep or discard (first answer that pops into your head, and don't worry about hurting my feelings; this may save me time and heartache in the future!).
I am by no means an agent but I would be willing to pursue it. Especially for very little ones, it's really cute. I still kept thinking about it, past the board book idea...it could work as a regular picture book with illustrations as well. Maybe it could be interactive and the reader and the child could act out with their fingers what's happening. Kids love that kind of thing.
Thanks, I was thinking that too. When I was writing it I was picturing it more as a regular picture book, though there could certainly be an interactive aspect to it. My husband and I actually use this 'technique' of the fingers with our children to get them to do things, and it's super helpful! I want it to be fun for kids, but also helpful for parents. Feel free to show it to anyone else who might be interested and let me know what they think (good or bad!). And let me know if you ever want someone to review your work ; )
I don't have children, but I've studied early childhood development and worked as an educator in the 3-8 age range. If you're looking for another person to give you a critique, I'd be happy to provide that perspective.
