    Hello All <3

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by courtykat, Mar 25, 2018.

I've not done this before, so I don't even know what to say lol

I am 18 and an amateur writer since I was a little kid still learning her grammar and spelling. I write many genres of fiction, but my specialty is definitely writing erotica. Most stories I write have at least some smut in them; a lot are based around it entirely. (But, mind you, I pride myself on having quality writing and forever improving at it. My goal is to eventually publish my stories without earning the infamous reputation that E. L. James currently has.)
I love writing, and I've been dying to meet other writers who aren't judgmental against us smutty folks haha. I'm constantly coming up with new ideas, both for short stories and full-length novels, but because of this I often have trouble focusing on one task and finishing it. If anyone else has this issue, also, some tips and support would be greatly appreciated.

But anyhow, hello to the community; I hope I can become a regular, long-time member here.

    Welcome to the Forum. :superhello:
    Sounds like an admirable goal.
I think shorts are easier to finish than novels due
to the length. But writers block, plot complication,
or lack of interest/enthusiasm to the story can also
slow things up a bit. Best thing to do is take a break
from it, and come back to it when you feel you are
ready to continue writing a tougher story with fresh
    eyes.

Good luck and have fun.

    Welcome to the forum!

Erotica can be quality writing to, as you know, it's other people's problem if they have an issue with that. You won't get judged around here! I hope you find the place a great resource for your writing.

    See you around :)

    Hey!

A few people on here will know I'm exactly the same, I'll start so many projects that I don't know which one to focus on - my advice in that case is try writing little bits of each one, and if you find yourself wanting to move on to another of them do it - one of them is bound to stick out more than the rest and you'll get so wrapped up in it you won't know where the time has gone. Stick to that one as much as you can, going back to others when you get a yearning etc etc. But don't give up on any of them!

Anyway welcome to the forum - 18 here as well and I'm sure everyone, no matter what age/genre/background, will be very welcoming, so feel free to ask away and keep writing!

Hi there, and be welcome to the forum! And just go for your favorite narrative gender without any other worry than to make an awesome story! You will have a lot of fun around, and if you aim for quality writing, I'll absolutely will check your work. Well, I'll check it anyway, to be honest, and strongly encourage you to participate on the different threads, and help other writers with their work. See you soon!

    Welcome!

As long as you write actual BDSM and not abuse disguised as BDSM, you'll avoid E.L. James' reputation. :p I don't read much smut, though, and I don't read any if it's m/f or f/f; it's just not my cup of tea. I don't mind others who write it or read it.

    Anyway, enjoy the stay!
