Hiya everyone! How are we all doing? I'm feeling excited, although a bit apprehensive, to be joining this community. I used to write A LOT when I was a young'un and used to be part of various forums posting my bits and bobs, but this part of me has really dropped off over the years. I'm thinking that by making writing more interactive and social, I will feel more inspired/energised to get going again. So I can't wait to start reading and reviewing and generally getting stuck in! I'd say that I write a mixture of general, contemporary fiction and dabble in some fantasy. I'm inspired by/compelled to write about nature, queerness and grief (what a cocktail!), but often it's also just random encounters or thoughts during the day that get me wanting to write. I would love to write historical fiction but am very intimidated by the amount of research that goes into that! I'm open to reading a whole range and look forward to building some trusted reviewing relationships with folks here Can only imagine that this is going to be a major distraction from work this week... ah well!

The frond is definitely waving! I shall do some creeping in the undergrowth for a while and work up the courage to pop a tendril out...
