I am a writer from the Netherlands, with a strong focus on horror and thriller stories. I like to play with twists and surprise my reader. Writing has been a big part of my life, and I intend to keep it this way. It's lovely to join a community that's just as passionate about this beautiful skill as I am. Thank you for having me.
Hey Mcooijman, welcome! Are you into short stories, or going for full-length novels? (or both!) It's great to see a Dutchman on the forums btw. I don't think I've ever met someone from the Netherlands that I didn't like... no pressure hehe.
Hey Steve, Heheh, good pressure to live with. To answer your question: both. I've written two novels, a novella and a lot of shorts. I think some stories need a bigger container then others. What about you?
Well, I've currently got one book out at the moment, with the sequel in the works, an audiobook for the first one is just about finished, and I think I've made the decision to make a book of short stories too, since I seem to have a knack for them. (as the gold medals under my avatar hopefully suggest.) How're your two novels? Published? Self-published? Looking for the finishing touches before touting them around?
I got one novel, and the novella published. The other novel I am currently rewriting. It was a fiction based on a true story, but turning it non-fiction now. As you can imagine, that takes up a bit of time. My novella is also published as an audio-book btw. That was such an odd experience to me.
