Hello Everyone!

I am joining the writing community for the first time in my life. I've always had a vivid imagination; my crazy dreams allow me to come up with new story ideas all the time. I have written small pieces of poetry and short stories throughout my childhood and adult life, but I still struggle with writing creatively. I'm trying to tell a story right now, but I have never written a book before in my life. I want to make new friends in this forum, as well as receive valuable insight on how to improve my creative storytelling. I hope this becomes a safe space to share stories and experiences. Nice to meet whoever reads this!

Have I ever written a book? Yes, two trilogies, which took a lot of hard work.

If you struggle to write your book, I suggest you practice with either short stories or individual scenes to hone your language skills. We've had a discussion about this topic right here: Writing a novel for dummies. Post #10 on-wards is relevant to what I'm talking about.

I have never written a book, though I have much to write about (through life experiences and stories I want to share). I’m here for the same reason you are - to learn from others and hone my skills, through trial and error.

Anyways, I like your intro and it completely describes me, as well. Many wonderful, inspiring and intelligent people inhabit this place - I have learned so much, in my short time here. I hope you stick around - I think this forum can help you tremendously, if you let it.

edited to add: I just viewed your profile and see that you are into Mark Twain. He happens to be a distant ancestor of mine. My great great grandmother was a Clemens, believe it or not. Well, I hope you like it here and end up writing many bestselling masterpieces!
