hey everyone! it's been a long time since i've joined a forum. since May '08, i have been a member of "In Dire Straits" which started out as the "Blackblood Alliance" forum. not sure if anyone's ever heard of it, haha. but i basically got into writing/drawing with that community! it's more or less based around writing from the perspective of fictional sparkledogs, though, more of a roleplaying site than anything. and i'm looking for something a little more ... "mature" to delve into. i have stuck around IDS for so long because the community is fabulous and i made a lot of really great friends. i'm hoping to find that same sort of atmosphere here, with any luck. i've loved writing for a long time, however i've been removed from it for quite some time. i'm looking to expand my horizons and dig into it a bit more, and hopefully learn some valuable stuff. background on me: i'm a 21 year old canadian, i work at a grain elevator, and i have a 1y/o pitbull/shepherd named Boone. i haven't looked around on the forum too much yet, but i'm hoping to do so and hopefully get involved very soon. if anyone has any tips or valuable info about the forum to share, that would be great. - shortyhooz
