Hello, I'm a writer from and in Libya. I loved writing ever since I could read. I joined this forum so I can, like many others, improve on the craft. As far as writing goes, I 've always focused on fantasy or sci-fi writing, although the best things I think I've written are modern, and I think it has to do with a world-building and setting issue. I consider myself a pretty good writer when I apply, and edit, but still see A LOT of room for improvement. My favourite book would have to be Hyperion. I consider it a masterpiece, however I thought the sequel really marred the build up. It was beautiful, nonetheless. On other things, I don't consider myself a nihilist, or a misanthrope. I love all things human and I believe life has a purpose that you define. I also love all things nature, and just, complexity. In that sense, I love everything, and can find wonder in anything. My greatest loves, next to humanity and everything, would be politics, language and writing. With all that out, I look forward to posting here.
