What do you say when you are new

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Michelo Mweetwa, Apr 21, 2020.

When you are just a name
    A molecule in cyberspace
When you are just an avatar
Never enough to attach a face
When you are just a link
A finger can break the embrace
    May be poet will do
I hope my writing will impress

You're speaking my language! There aren't many aspiring speculative poets around, but I'm always glad to meet another one like me.

Welcome to our little forum! I'm EFMingo, one of the new moderators here at the forums. Don't be shy about contacting me or one of the other active mods (jannert, big soft moose, and Iain Aschendale at the moment) if you have any questions or problems. To get you started here, I've placed links here for quick reference if you need it: New Member Quick Start and Forum Rules. For a new member, the requirements are 14 days membership, 20 forum posts, and 2-1 critiques to workshop posts. You will find that the time and posts go by quick, and reviewing others work can be an eye opener to errors you may even find in your own writing.

I genuinely hope to see you actively participating in the poetry section, or any section for that matter, to review and edit other's works-in-progress. I look forward to reviewing your work if you feel like posting when you have met the requirements, as I review nearly all incoming poetry to this forum. Thanks for the excellent little introduction, glad to have you on board here. Hope to see you around helping others on the different sections of this site!
