Hey Vicky. Welcome ^^. Always good to greet another fantasy writer. Creepy stories are the best, I've been trying to get a handle on tension-building and evoking dread and peril lately ^^. Something which I think Tolkien did well in LOTR. Anyhows, I hope you're well and I'll see you around =).
I wrote a tension bit in my story and to make it more tense (Gods, my lack of vocabulary is worrying lol) I listened to Stormy May Day by AC/DC. I love listening to songs that evoke emotions.
