    Okay so.

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by MrIntensity, Nov 24, 2016.

I have joined because I'm itching to have a piece of writing critiqued. It's a science fiction that is still in progress, and i'm planning on writing the entire novel, however to trust friends and family to critique something as sensitive as this without them becoming biased is no good idea. So I came here, so I have a few questions:
    1. Where should I post my science fiction, which is so far 2 chapters in and has 11,000 or so words?
    2. My science fiction writing has some intense violence, gore, and swearing, so how do I make that clear before posting it anywhere?
    3. How do I post it?
    4. Should I bother posting it?

Any help would be a godsend.

There are some restrictions here for posting work in the workshop.

There should be a message in your PMs that goes over this in detail.

Two weeks membership, twenty posts, and two given critiques.

So I must wait two weeks before posting anything?

Before posting anything for critique, yes.

You are, however, welcomed and encouraged to participate in the forum. You can give critiques, just not receive them until requisite requirements have been met.

Just twenty posts, plus two critiques.

If you look at your avatar, you have five posts already.

I'd also like to mention that trying to get someone to critique 11k words in the Workshop will be nearly impossible. So once you reach the requirements, I'd suggest posting in the Collaborations section and look for beta/alpha readers instead.
