Since I'm new to this forum and read the "new users guide", I here to introduce myself. I'm Matthew Graybosch, an exile from New York currently living in the wilds of central Pennsylvania with my wife and cats. I code for a living, work mainly with Microsoft tech for my sins, and run Unix-based operating systems at home because I'm something of a command-line junkie. I write science fantasy inspired by heavy metal. I've published a couple of novels through a small press, but I'm not here to promote them. I'm not even going to list their titles unless somebody asks. I'm not even here to network, though I suspect the main reason my previous novels haven't sold to the extent I'd hoped was because I hadn't been good about networking. Instead, I'm here to help and to learn. If I make new friends along the way, so much the better.
Welcome, Matthew. I thought your name sounded familiar, and then realized it's because I follow you on Google+ (though I've been very sporadic in my use of that platform for some time now).
It's been a long time since I was consistently active on Google+ as well. I spent a while on Mastodon, but that isn't really for me either since I've found myself missing a good, solid writers' forum.
