Hi all, I'm a UK author and am new to this forum. I write middle grade, and sometimes poems and short stories aimed at adults. In the past couple of years I've had one middle grade book published and a poem included in an anthology. I am agented (for the second time -- my first agent relationship didn't work out) and I'm currently editing a manuscript to be shopped to UK publishers and pulling together some ideas for book two (at my agent's behest). Any other middle grade writers active on here?
Welcome to the forum! I'm EFMingo, one of the new moderators here at the forums. Don't be shy about contacting me or one of the other active mods (jannert, big soft moose, and Iain Aschendale at the moment) if you have any questions or problems. To get you started here, I've placed links here for quick reference if you need it: New Member Quick Start and Forum Rules. For a new member, the requirements are 14 days membership, 20 forum posts, and 2-1 critiques to workshop posts. You will find that the time and posts go by quick, and reviewing others work can be an eye opener to errors you may even find in your own writing. I believe we have a few middle grade writers on here currently active, and certainly a number of threads pertaining to questions involved in that writing in which you could review. Don't be afraid to ask any questions you have related to the genre, as many here are willing to answer from a knowledgeable perspective, and I also hope to see you participating in the discussions others of your genre bring up. I'm also happy to see another poet arrive at the forums! I'm currently am working on a poetry chapbook for publication, and always enjoy seeing new poets come through here to edit and post work. I genuinely hope to see you actively participating in the poetry section, or any section for that matter, to review and edit other's works-in-progress. I look forward to reviewing your work if you feel like posting when you have met the requirements, as I review all incoming poetry to this forum. Glad to have you on board here, and hope to see you around helping others on the different sections of this site!
