I'm Aerin, a university student with a major in History and a minor in Creative Writing. Despite my major, I have never actually written Historical Fiction, instead sticking to Sci-Fi and Fantasy. I have been looking for an active place were I can get advice from other writers for a while, so I'm excited to be here!
All of them involve space travel of some form and are set at least a century into the future. Only a few involve aliens, but when they do I make them quite nonhuman in both physiology and culture.
Your history major is a useful tool in your toolbox. George RR Martin and Harry Turtledove make use of history in their writing.
