    Hello- new comer noveler

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Ennubi, Jan 9, 2007.

    hi,

just looking around online for a place to get feedback on a novel-in-progress. my local readers are all busy :(.

i'm nonprofessional, but i've been a happy hack for many years.

i'm working on a hybrid between urban fantasy and the BETTER parts of anime (character development, scope, fantasy element, world building) without the whiny anglo voices.

thought i'd come and say hi :)

urban fantasy? Never heard of that genre before. Sounds rather interesting. Are you drawing the anime?

    wow- thanks

    thanks :)

5 replies? i'm amazed. i was hoping for one.

urban fantasy takes real world and adds fantasy elements (not vampires in my book, although you could make a strong argument for it.) take elves in downtown new york or supernatural detectives and you've got the general idea. i think mercedes lackey has a couple lines in this apart from her valdemar books.

i wish to high heaven i could draw anime...i see it in my head running that way like it was on tv but i write it out conventionally.

appreciate the welcome. have to try to figure out how to run a long post latter on (would i serialize chapters or something?) this week.
